Its the little things

The house is finally quiet. All are settled for the night and I sit and reflect on my day and most importantly, my night.

Tonight my oldest son who is 14 sat with me on our front porch. He isn't much of a talker and very much a gamer, so the one on one time was amazing.

He's already taller than me. His voice is so deep I can hardly hear him. I stare at this young man, talking about things that I never thought even crossed his mind, and remember him as my little man. He was and still is a mamas boy.

I cherish the moments that I get with all of my children and situations like this always bring me back to when they were small enough to fit on my lap. These moments also make me realize how fast time flies by. One minute they are babies and the next they are growing in to young men.

Tonight's conversation made me realize how important even the little things are. I want to take in every single moment I can with my babies. I want to listen to them speak what's on their mind. I want to watch them laugh like they haven't experienced any pain.

Tonight, I am thankful. I am so very thankful for the moments like this one where I get to dive a little deeper in to my childs beautiful mind.

My advice tonight would be to count your blessings. Soak in every moment you can and love today and live for tomorrow.
