I guess it all began back when baby number one was born. I never put much thought into actual parenting. And, as a very young mother ( I was 17 ) I really just thought it would all flow. That's what it seemed like it did when I was a child, anyway.
But baby number one ( and two, and three and definitely number four! ) most certainly should have come with some sort of handbook. I mean. Toasters do! I looked around and realized there was none.
So I guess you can say, my first parenting fail started way before baby number one even entered this world. Yet! Here I am, 19 years and 3 more kids later, and still standing! With or without instructions, we all are still standing. Woo! Parent WIN!
