Did that really just happen

Can we just touch on a sore subject for a quick second. And I mean, very quick.

Question. What parent wants alone time? Whether with their partner or otherwise? I know I do. And I also know that with four kids, well, you're better off just going to bed. But on the nights you don't. Those very rare nights you stay up. The kids do too! One is eating soup in the kitchen. The other is playing xbox. One kid is knocking on the door asking for batteries for a remote.

Nothing like four kids knocking on your door every few minutes to get the mood completely squashed for the night. So, as I lay in bed, now going to sleep for real this time, I think to myself for what has to be the millionth time - did that really just happen!
